Anastos Finishes Tied for Second at D-6 Tourney
CRESSON — Fourth as a sophomore a year ago, Central Mountain junior Alexis Anastos this week battled the elements on top of Cresson Mountain and returned home with a second place finish in the PIAA District 6 Golf Championship tournament.
Anastos shot a 94 on Wednesday and finished with a 91 on Thursday, her total of 185 earning her a tie for second place in the two-day event at the Summit Country Club.
Anastos was a key component on the Central Mountain boys team which won the Heartland Conference this season. She was the only female on the Wildcat squad.
