Marjorie Egan

Marjorie Egan, 93, of Farrandsville passed from this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Haven Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing, Lock Haven.

Born on October 4, 1921 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Arthur McKinley and Goldia Merrill Workman.

On January 30, 1943 Marjorie married the love of her life, Henry Raymond Egan, who preceded her in death on June 25, 1981.

She was employed by Woolrich Woolen Mills, working in the Sewing Department until her retirement in 1981.

Marjorie was a member of the Flemington Church of Christ.

Family was the most important part of her life.

Marjorie loved Bingo, crocheting, and her cats.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan (John) Andrews of Farrandsville and Jean (Sam) Hess of Snow Shoe; four grandchildren: Troy (Angel) Egan of Lock Haven, Tracy (Mike) Wance of Mt. Ulla, NC; Rita (Ron) Rachau of Blanchard, and John (Melissa) Andrews of Lock Haven; four great grandchildren: Cerri Smith of Lock Haven, Teagen Prevette of Mt. Ulla, NC, Adrian Wance of Mt. Ulla, NC, and Troyanna Egan of Lock Haven; two great, great grandchildren, Katrina and Liam Plants of Lock Haven; two brothers, Arthur Workman, Jr. and Theodore Workman; and two sisters, Shirley Strunk and Jean Rafter.

In addition to her husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by a son, William Arthur Egan; a great grandson, Kyle Plants; and five siblings.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven.
