Robert S. Hummel – Obituary
Born on May 13, 1944 in Bath, he was the son of the late Charles and Mabel Schall Hummel.
Bob married the former Sandy L. Wheeler on January 31, 1987 at the Monument Church of Christ.
Throughout his life he was employed as a truck driver for various coal mines.
Bob lived for helping other people.
He loved yard work, especially mowing the grass.
In addition to his wife, Sandy, he is survived by two sons, Steven (Gayle) Hummel of Lock Haven and Brian A. (Bobbi) Hummel of Beech Creek; a daughter, Wendy L. (Alan) Flanagan of Clearfield; three step-children: George “Peanut” (Teri Fye) Bardo of Lock Haven, Robert “Bum” (Sherry) Bardo of Castanea, and Brigette (Russell Bauman) Bardo of Flemington; 17 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall. Dress is casual.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
