LOCK HAVEN – The 39th Annual Sentimental Journey Fly-in opened Tuesday at the William T. Piper Memorial Airport.
Opening day spirits were dampened by morning rain but the pace picked up on Wednesday with much better weather to great the visiting aviators and fans of aviation of all ages.
The week’s schedule is full of activities for the pilots as well as folks who attend to take in the sights, sounds and uniqueness of the many various model of planes on hand, many manufactured right here by Piper Aircraft,
The familiar small single engine “Cub” is prevalent on the flight line and dot the local says regularly throughout the daylight hours.
