Free New Boots & Shoes for Kids December 13

LOCK HAVEN — It’s not too late for kids and teens from eligible families to get free new boots, as well as shoes, at the Shoe Bank. They will find many pairs of winter boots to choose from.

The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank will be open Saturday, Dec. 13, inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44-46 W. Main St., by appointment only.

Kids and teens from wee ones through high school seniors or up to age 18 can choose a pair of free new boots plus new shoes, new socks, new books, and a holiday gift. Everything is free.

The Shoe Bank serves families in Clinton County and the Liberty-Curtin Elementary School area who have Compass, or a referral from a church, agency, or organization.

Appointments are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To book yours, contact Diahann at 814-571-5324, any weeknight from 7:00-9:00 p.m. If you find you cannot keep your appointment, be sure and let her know. You may call or text as late as the morning of Dec. 13, in case there is a cancellation, but it’s best to contact her ahead of time.

The Shoe Bank is funded by the Clinton County Community Foundation, the M&T Bank Charitable Foundation, civic groups, churches, and individual donors.
