Wildcats Bounce Back With 61–33 Win Over Milton

MILTON — After falling in their opener at the Milton Tip-Off Tournament to Warrior Run, the Central Mountain boys basketball team responded with a strong performance Saturday, rolling past host Milton 61–33.

The Wildcats showed scoring depth across the lineup and played with better control throughout the night. “Nice balance throughout our lineups and a more controlled effort tonight,” Coach Tyler Bardo said. “In our pregame meeting we talked a bit about the program and the players that have paved the way for us. There’s always been inspired basketball here. We did well to quickly realign with that standard. The next step is to focus on sustainability.”

Central Mountain built an early lead with an 18-point first quarter and extended it with a strong 20-point third quarter.

Darius Shade led the Wildcats with 17 points, followed by Blake Walker with 12. Noah Wells scored 10, Isaiah Dorman added 9, Dane Hanna and Carson Couturier each chipped in 5, and Collin Confer finished with 3.

Scoring by Quarters
Milton — 10, 10, 8, 5 — 33
Central Mountain — 18, 13, 20, 10 — 61

With the victory, Central Mountain moves to 1–1 on the season and will next be in action on December 12 when they host Central.
