Music, Pageant, and Holiday Spirit Take Center Stage at “Holiday Extravaganza” Luncheon

LOCK HAVEN – On Wednesday, December 3, The Lock Haven Christian Women’s Connection will enjoy their “Holiday Extravaganza” Luncheon. The program will be held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal Street, Allison Township. There is always good food, lots of fun, door prizes, music from gifted vocalists, and inspiring speakers that help inform and encourage ladies to make a most memorable day.
The theme of December’s lunch is “Holiday Extravaganza”. The Special Feature for the luncheon will be The Lock Haven Christian Women’s Players presenting their own Christmas Pageant.
The special music guest for the day is soloist Beth Young who delights with her wonderfully lovely voice. The Lock Haven Christian Women’s Choir will also make an appearance.
The guest speaker will be Barbara Vernoski from Ocean Grove, New Jersey. She is married to a former F-16 Fighter Pilot. She speaks on “My Life Took Off When I Used The Right Plan.”
The Feature Guest at September’s Luncheon was Traci Fotorney, founder of Boxes of Hope, a local non-profit that provides items of comfort to victims of breast cancer. Because of the impact of her presentation, the women ‘s group will be collecting items to donate to Boxes of Hope at the December 3 Luncheon.
The cost of $17.00 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.
This is a perfectly good time to meet new friends and catch up with long-time friends! The luncheon is a warm and welcoming way to renew and refresh. Again the date for the next Christian Women s’ Luncheon is December 3. The group is requesting all who plan to attend make a reservation. The reservation deadline date is Thursday, November 27, which is Thanksgiving Day, so it would be important to think about making a reservation early.
