WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – Woodward Township Supervisors met Tuesday evening for their November meeting.

The township budget will be advertised as complete and ready for public inspection. The 2026 budget includes no tax increase to township residents.

A recent “buzz” has erupted in the township in the form of a new “social media-friendly” sign to be unveiled Thursday at 12 p.m. at the Boat Launch. The sign features large letters and a heart spelling out # I LOVE CLINTON COUNTY, PA. The sign is positioned to look straight-on to the Clinton County Courthouse and downtown Lock Haven.

The sign is the work of the former Tourism Director Kira Rosamilia of the Clinton County Economic Partnership.

The general public is invited to attend the unveiling at the boat launch on Thursday.

The Junk Vehicle Ordinance was formally adopted by the township supervisors and will be effective as soon as it is taken to the courthouse and entered into the Law Library.

Township supervisors voted in favor of allowing Berkheimer Digital Tax Solutions to collect the Local Services Tax and Business Privilege Tax for the township. Berkheimer will keep a “significantly smaller percentage” of the tax than the school district had held previously which will keep more money in the township.

In other news, the township’s leaf pick up continues through Monday, but that is most likely going to be extended beyond Thanksgiving.

“If we need to go beyond Thanksgiving we will,” Supervisor Kyle Coleman said.

Woodward Township Recreation will be visiting local craft shows this weekend handing out vendor applications and information in an effort to “pick up some new people for Riverfest.”

The Salvation Army raised over $2,500 for their Red Kettle Campaign thanks to a recent Polar Plunge event held at the Woodward Township Boat Launch. The Salvation Army expressed their thanks to the township for allowing them to use the boat launch for the recent event.

The nationwide FAA-mandated Radio Upgrade is almost complete for Woodward Township. The final step in the process was to pay for the radio software upgrade to the tune of $18,572. The supervisors passed this expense line item Monday evening.

It was reported that the new, popular, Pickleball Court at Riverview Park will be getting a new concrete sidewalk and benches installed in the warmer spring and summer months ahead. Coleman said in a past meeting that the court “rivals any others he has seen including the new one in the city limits.”
