LHU Football lands six on All-PSAC Squad; Morgan & Daugherty named to First Team

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Lock Haven football defensive back Markel Morgan and linebacker Rocco Daugherty were named to the All-League First Team to highlight six Bald Eagle All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) selections, the conference office announced on Wednesday (Nov. 19).

Daugherty earned his first all-conference nod as a junior as a First Team All-PSAC East Linebacker.

Morgan, a senior defensive back, also landed his first all-league selection.

Jackson Ostrowsky (Graduate Student, Quarterback), Justin Popovich (Junior, Wide Receiver), Damir Green (Graduate Student, Running Back) and Rhys McDonald (Graduate Student, Defensive Line) rounded out the Bald Eagle All-PSAC Selections as members of the Eastern Division’s Second Team.

The six standouts helped The Haven clinch its first winning season in 44 years after finishing 2025 with a 6-5 overall record and 4-3 mark in the PSAC East. Three of Lock Haven’s losses came at the hands of a top-10 team in the NCAA DII Football Super Region One.

The Bald Eagles, who have won 16 games over a three-year stretch, clinched their third consecutive five-or-more win seasons in a row.

The historic season came under head coach Joe Battaglia, who joins an historic group of coaches in the history of Lock Haven football after winning six games in his first season.

A look at the season highlights for each of The Haven’s All-PSAC selections can be found below.

Markel Morgan – 1st team DB

Morgan helped cover the entire field from the safety spot and was rewarded with his first all-conference honor as a member of the First Team.

Morgan led the team with 39 solo tackles and finished second with 63 total tackles. His solo tackles total ranked tied for 11th in the PSAC.

The senior also picked off three passes (second on the team), including a game-sealing INT in the Bald Eagles’ victory over Millersville.

Morgan finished with six-or-more tackles in four different games.

Rocco Daugherty – 1st team LB

Daugherty was named one of the top linebackers in the conference following a stellar junior campaign. He led the program in total tackles with 64 and was second in assisted tackles with 38, which ranked 17th overall in the conference.

The junior also led The Haven in interceptions after picking off four passes, including two in the Bald Eagles’ victory over Gannon to clinch the six-win season.

Daugherty also broke up three passes and finished with one sack and one quarterback hit.

Jackson Ostrowsky – 2nd team QB

A 2024 Harlon Hill Award nominee, Ostrowsky, finished the season near the top of the PSAC in every major passing category, including yards (2nd, 2655), touchdowns (2nd, 22), long pass (2nd, 80) and yards per game (2nd, 265.5). He was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week twice.

Ostrowsky wrapped up his sensational two-year Bald Eagle career ranked first all-time in career completion percentage (59%) and yards-per-game (279.0), third in passing yards (5,858), touchdowns (49), completions (462), attempts (377) and fourth in yards per attempt (7.5).

The graduate transfer threw three or more touchdowns five times, including a career-high five touchdowns twice, while going over 200-yards passing in six games, including a season-high 459.

Justin Popovich – 2nd team WR

One of Ostrowsky’s top targets throughout the year, Popovich, racked up 686 yards and six touchdowns on 55 receptions in 2025.

The junior ranked in the top-10 of the conference in yards, touchdowns and yards-per-game (62.4).

Popovich finished with two touchdowns twice and went over 100 yards in a pair of games, including a season-high 136 against West Chester.

Damir Green – 2nd team RB

Known for his hard-nose running between the tackles, Green ranked in the top-20 of the PSAC in touchdowns (5), rushing yards (445), yards per game (44.5), yards per rush (4.5) and attempts (100).

The graduate student finished with 50-or-more rushing yards in five games, including a season-high 85 in the victory over Gannon. Green had a season-long run of 46 yards.

Green also caught a touchdown through the air, where he totaled eight catches for 79 yards with a long of 31.

Rhys McDonald – 2nd team DL

A key feature in The Haven’s revamped defensive line, McDonald terrorized opposing quarterbacks and finished the year second on the team with three sacks (16 yards) and nine quarterback hits.

McDonald totaled 45 tackles (27 solo, 18 assisted), four tackles for loss (19 yards) and blocked a kick.

The graduate student had a tackle for loss in five games, a quarterback hit in six games and also secured a pass break up.
