LHU Women’s Wrestling opens 2025-26 schedule by hosting Lehigh
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women’s wrestling team hosted NCAA DI Lehigh University inside Thomas Fieldhouse on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 16) Lehigh won the match, 26-15.
The match was the first at home for the Bald Eagles and was also a historic match for the Mountain Hawks, who competed in their first dual since implementing the program.
Jayleah Pletz earned a 7-0 decision at 124# to give the Bald Eagles their first win of the day.
The Haven picked up back-to-back wins at 160 and 180 lbs. by Raegan Snider and Azariah Moore.
Snider won by an 8-3 decision at 160#, before Moore won in thrilling fashion after scoring in the closing seconds to secure a 14-12 decision at 180 #.
Lindsay Laws also won at the buzzer at 207#, as she closed out the match with an 8-6 decision following a reversal with under a second on the clock.
Lock Haven moves to 1-1 during its early dual slate, while Lehigh improves to 1-0.
