Jersey Shore Rolls Past Central Mountain to Close Regular Season

JERSEY SHORE– Jersey Shore capped off its regular season with a commanding 63-26 win over rival Central Mountain Friday night.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 42-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, putting together a dominant offensive and defensive showing from the opening kickoff. Bo Sechrist ran for two short touchdowns early, and quarterback Nolen Pauling connected with Carter Rhinehart for an 85-yard touchdown strike. Kash Herritt added an 11-yard scoring run, while Carson Watkins hauled in a 15-yard touchdown reception. Luke Thompson capped the explosive quarter with a 20-yard interception return for a score.

In the second quarter, Herritt found the end zone again on a 3-yard run, followed by another Sechrist touchdown from 16 yards out. Central Mountain got on the board late in the half when Dalton McDermott punched in a 2-yard touchdown run.

Jersey Shore extended its lead in the third quarter on Sechrist’s fourth rushing touchdown of the night, a 17-yard run. McDermott answered for the Wildcats with a 1-yard touchdown run.

Central Mountain showed resilience late in the game, as McDermott broke free for an 80-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter and quarterback Kyle Everett connected with Mario Serafini for a 30-yard touchdown strike to close out the scoring.

The loss ends the season for Central Mountain at 0-10, while Jersey Shore heads into the playoffs with momentum and will await official bracket information in the coming days.
