Wildcats Compete at PHAC Cross Country Championships
SUNBURY – The Central Mountain varsity girls cross country team finished eighth out of 19 teams at the 2025 PHAC Championships Invitational held at Shikellamy High School Saturday morning.
Senior Aubrey Eiler led the way, finishing 34th with a new personal record of 22:15.80. Rounding out the top seven for the Wildcats were Emma Wolfe (39th, 22:38.90), Kaylie McCloskey (41st, PR 22:47.40), Abigail Winslow (PR 23:19.80), Calienna Cardinal (64th, 24:53.90), Addison Knipe (65th, PR 24:53.90), and Liz McCloskey (71st, 25:35.80).
The Wildcats will compete at the District 6 Championships at Indian Valley Elementary School on October 25.
The Central Mountain varsity boys cross country team finished ninth out of 19 teams at the same invitational.
Senior Damien Winner led the way, finishing 23rd in 17:27.80. Sophomore Shane Walker ran a new personal record, finishing 45th in 18:47.50. Rounding out the top seven for the Wildcats were Shayden Hill (57th, PR 19:01.10), Xian Deems (63rd, 19:14.90), Gabriel Houser (67th, PR 19:27.50), Latrell Walker (68th, 19:32.20), and Brayden Bird (74th, PR 20:15.80).
In the JV race, Che McAllister earned a medal for the Wildcats, finishing 13th with a new PR of 19:23.30. Also hitting new personal records were William Stout (20:45.30), Liam Darwin (21:53.90), and Owen Rippey (25:26.70).
The Wildcats will compete at the District 6 Championships at Indian Valley Elementary School on October 25.
