Lady Wildcats Battle Indoors at Altoona

ALTOONA – Weather forced the Central Mountain girls tennis team indoors on Wednesday, as their match with Altoona was moved to The Gorilla House. With only three courts available, the teams agreed to play eight-point pro sets instead of the traditional best-of-three format.

In singles action, Central Mountain’s top player, Addison Lindsay, continued her strong play by shutting out Altoona’s Andie Adams, 8–0. The Lady Mountain Lions answered back with wins at the second and third spots, as Skyler Irwin topped Lane Walker 8–1 and Ava Williams defeated Kassie Williams 8–1.

Doubles play saw the teams split. Altoona’s duo of Adalia Lapazoakes and Ryleigh Campbell edged Central Mountain’s Audra Eaton and Kylee Markle in a competitive 8–5 match. The Lady Wildcats picked up a win at second doubles, with Leah Wian and Tess Akeley delivering an 8–2 victory over Natalie Baker and Isabella Holmberg.
