Central Mountain Golf Tops Benton

MILL HALL – Central Mountain Golf battled through rainy conditions Thursday afternoon and came away with a solid victory over visiting Benton Area High School. The Wildcats posted a team score of 325, while Benton finished at 404.

Michael Lodek led the way for Central Mountain, earning medalist honors with an impressive round of 76. Teammate Reese Walizer was right behind him, carding a 78. Benton’s low score came from Paul Ribble, who shot a 94.

Other strong performances for the Wildcats included Nolan Karstetter with an 84, Blake Walker with an 87, Tucker Brungardt at 88, and Kai Fravel with a 99.

Central Mountain will return to action next week when they take on PHAC opponent Jersey Shore.
