Wildcats Edge Selinsgrove in Tight Match at Clinton Country Club
MILL HALL – Central Mountain’s golf team pulled out a close victory on their home course Wednesday afternoon, defeating PHAC opponent Selinsgrove 170-175 at Clinton County Country Club.
Senior Reese Walizer paced the Wildcats with a team-best 41. Just one stroke back was Kai Fravel with a 42, while Nolan Karstetter added a 43 and Michael Lodek followed with a 44. Blake Walker carded a 45 and Tucker Brundgardt finished at 57 to round out the lineup.
The overall medalist of the match was Selinsgrove’s Mac Defzio, who fired a 39 to lead all golfers.
With the win, Central Mountain improved their league standing and will look to carry momentum into Thursday, when they remain at home to host non-league opponent Benton.
