Atlantic-10 releases Field Hockey Preseason Poll; Bald Eagles open season Friday at No. 11 Syracuse
LOCK HAVEN- The Atlantic-10 (A-10) Conference announced its 2025 Preseason Poll on Wednesday afternoon. The NCAA DI Bald Eagles are set to open the season on Friday (Aug. 29) at 5 p.m. at No. 11 Syracuse.
Saint Joseph’s, the defending A-10 champion, topped the poll with 47 points and five first-place votes. Richmond and VCU tied for second with 39 points each, while Davidson earned the fourth spot with 27 points. Lock Haven checked in at fifth with 19 points, followed by La Salle (18) and Saint Louis (7).

Head Coach Anna Rogers
Lock Haven head coach Anna Rogers enters her third season at the helm of the program, after taking over in 2023.
McKenna Sergi enters her second season as the assistant coach after wrapping up her standout playing career at the University of Connecticut.

2025 Schedule
The Bald Eagles are set to embark on an exciting 2025 campaign, highlighted by high-profile non-conference clashes and a challenging Atlantic-10 Conference slate. The Haven opens the season on the road at Syracuse on Friday, Aug. 29, setting the tone for an ambitious schedule that promises competitive match-ups from start to finish.
Road Start, Key Non-Conference Contests
The season begins with a two-game swing in New York, facing Syracuse on Aug. 29 before taking on Colgate in Hamilton on Aug. 31. Lock Haven continues its early road stretch with contests at Towson (Sept. 5) and at Georgetown (Sept. 7), followed by meetings at Indiana (Sept. 12) and Ball State (Sept. 14). The Eagles also visit Richmond on Sept. 19 before returning home for their first game at Charlotte E. Smith Field.
Home Opener and Conference Action
Lock Haven’s home opener is set for Sunday, Sept. 21, against Delaware at 2 p.m. The Eagles then host Davidson on Friday, Sept. 26, followed by A-10 power Saint Joseph’s on Friday, Oct. 3, and Saint Francis on Sunday, Oct. 5. The conference schedule continues with road trips to La Salle (Oct. 10) and Temple (Oct. 12), and home meetings with VCU (Oct. 17) and Bucknell (Oct. 22).
Final Stretch and Senior Day
The final weeks feature a home clash with Penn State on Oct. 24 and a trip to Saint Louis on Oct. 26, before the regular season wraps up at home against Mercyhurst on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m.
