Shikellamy Tops Central Mountain in Rain-Soaked PHAC Golf Match
SELINSGROVE – Central Mountain’s golf team battled tough conditions Wednesday afternoon at Susquehanna Valley Country Club but came up short against Shikellamy in a PHAC matchup. Intermittent rain showers and fast, tricky greens made scoring difficult, and the host Braves came away with a 164-179 victory.
Shikellamy’s Mason Farrell earned medalist honors with a round of 37 on the par-34 front nine. Central Mountain was led by senior Michael Lodek, who turned in a solid 41, while Blake Walker followed closely with a 43. Rounding out the Wildcats’ scores were Kai Fravel with a 48, Reese Walizer with a 47, Nolan Karstetter with a 50, and Tucker Brungardt with a 51.
Despite the loss, Central Mountain continues to see strong efforts across its lineup. The Wildcats will look to rebound on Friday when they return to action at Belle Springs Golf Course for a tri-match against Jersey Shore and Sugar Valley.
