Central Mountain Opens Season With Win Over Clearfield

CLEARFIELD – The Central Mountain golf team opened its season Monday morning at Clearfield Curwensville Country Club, posting a team score of 348 to top host Clearfield’s 381.

Senior Reese Walizer led the Wildcats with a round of 78, followed by Michael Lodek with an 82. Kai Fravel carded a 93, and Nolan Karstetter finished with a 95 to round out the scoring four. Also competing for Central Mountain were Tucker Brungart 105 and Jon Conway 112.

In exhibition play, Blake Walker shot an 89, Landon Hill a 97, and Drake Scanlan a 104.

Central Mountain will look to build on the strong start when they host Shamokin Area High School next Tuesday in their home opener.
