Words of Grace

By Rev. Mahlon Nevel

“Be still, and know that I am God.” He is the great “I Am,” the Creator of heaven and earth. (Psalm 46:10)

He is going to be exalted among the heathen nations, He is going to be exalted in the earth he created.
Israel was chosen by God to be his special nation. He revealed himself to them by the prophets of old.

All the other nations did not know the God of Israel. They were the Gentile nations, the heathen nations.

When God declared that he would some day be exalted among the heathen, he was referring to the last days.

They would come to know him as the only true God, the true and living God.

The Lord is high above all the earth. He is exalted for above all the gods. Who are these other gods? They are the heathen gods.
“For all the gods of the nations (heathen) are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.” (Psalm 96:5)

When the heathen asked “Where is Israel’s God?” The Israelites answered, “Our God is in the heavens.” (Psalm 115:2, 3

The heathen needed a god that they could see. So they made idols out of silver and gold, which were only the work of man. (V.4)

Their idols had mouths, but they could not speak. They had eyes, but they could not see. They had ears, but they could not hear. (vs. 5-7)

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” (Psalm 34:3)
