Keystone 8-10 All-Stars Advance to Championship with Win Over South Williamsport

MILL HALL – The Keystone 8-10 All-Star Baseball team opened its postseason run in convincing fashion Tuesday night, defeating South Williamsport 14-4 at Long Run Park.

Keystone jumped out to a quick lead, plating seven runs in the first inning and adding to their advantage in the second and third to take full control of the game. The offense was led by Freddy Gundlach, who recorded three hits on the night. Westin Heeman added two hits, including a triple, while Easton Feerrar also collected a pair of hits. Carter Shellman chipped in with a single.

On the mound, Bentley Leone got the start and pitched 3.1 solid innings, striking out two. Heeman came in to close out the game.

With the victory, Keystone moves on to the championship game, set for Saturday at Volunteer Stadium.
