Keystone 9-11 Baseball Falls to Williamsport in District Matchup
MONTOURSVILLE – The Keystone 9-11 All-Star baseball team dropped a 15-3 decision to Williamsport on Monday evening in district play.
Williamsport jumped out early and never looked back, scoring 1 run in the first, 8 in the second, 1 in the third, and 5 more in the fourth. They finished with 15 runs on 10 hits. Keystone managed 3 runs in the bottom of the first but couldn’t keep pace, totaling 4 hits and committing 4 errors.
Keystone’s offense was led by Mason Quick and Cael Day, each with a double, while Callen Bechdel and Deagen Stover added hits.
On the mound, Cael Day started the game, followed by Deagen Stover, who struck out three batters. Easton Wright pitched an inning, and Michael Nestor closed it out with 1.2 innings, striking out three.
With the loss, Keystone will face Loyalsock in an elimination game on Wednesday at Loyalsock.
