KEYSTONE INTERMEDIATE FALLS TO TRI-TOWN 4-3
MONTGOMERY – Coming off a wild 21-19 win over Loyalsock, the Keystone Intermediate Baseball All-Stars found themselves on the wrong end of a close contest Friday night, falling to Tri-Town 4-3 in walk-off fashion.
Tri-Town jumped ahead early with two runs in the first inning. Keystone responded in the top of the third, plating two to tie the game. In the sixth, Keystone took a 3-2 lead, but Tri-Town rallied in the bottom of the seventh, scoring two to walk it off.
Keystone’s offense was limited to three hits on the night, coming from Brad Brungard, Colt Hill, and Cain Reem. Reem delivered the big blow with a solo home run.
On the mound, Brayden Wolfgang started and pitched 2.1 innings, allowing three hits and two runs , while walking three and striking out five. Ethan Nestor came on in relief and tossed the final four innings, allowing four hits and two runs, with one walk and eight strikeouts.
Tri-Town finished with seven hits and capitalized on Keystone’s defensive miscues to secure the win.
With the loss, Keystone moves to the elimination bracket and will face Montoursville on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Montgomery.
