KEYSTONE 10-12 SOFTBALL BLANKS LOYALSOCK IN 10-0 WIN
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT – After a tough loss on Thursday night, the Keystone 10-12 Softball All-Stars bounced back in dominant fashion Friday evening with a 10-0, five-inning win over Loyalsock.
Keystone wasted no time getting the offense rolling, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning. They added one more in the second before erupting for five runs in the third to take full control. The team closed out their scoring with a final run in the fifth. Keystone totaled 10 runs on 8 hits.
Tori Peters led the way at the plate and in the circle. She went 2-for-2 with four RBIs, including a two-run double in the first and a two-run home run in the third. Madison Edwards, Gemma Braunns, Willow Phillips, Brielle McGhee, Kenzie Fantaskey (double), and Alexis Jolloff (double) each added hits in the effort.
Peters was also dominant on the mound, tossing four shutout innings with 10 strikeouts and allowing just two walks. Madison Edwards came in to finish the game, walking one and closing out the combined shutout.
Win the win the team will stay alive and next be in action on Sunday taking on Montoursville at Hepburn Lycoming field at 1p.m.
