Doyle sisters power CM softball over Lady Braves

Sunbury- Ava and Taylor Doyle combined for 6 hits and Central Mountain rolled over Shikellamy, 12-1 on Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Wildcats scored 3 runs in the top of the second inning and seen their lead extend to 6-0 following another three-run burst in the top of the fourth inning.
The host Lady Braves scored their lone run in their half of the frame. Central Mountain kept their feet on the gas by scoring 3 runs in each of the final two innings.
The Lady Wildcats pounded out 14 hits and overcame 5 errors to pick up the win against District IV’s only 5A softball program.
Ava Doyle connected on a double to go along with a pair of singles. Taylor Doyle also had a double and two singles. Cirstyn Watson and Aubrey Eiler both had two hits afternoons. Both also had doubles. Jaycey Tripp, Rylan Andrews, Kaitlyn Bowman and Cora Myers each collected hits in the win. Bowman’s hit was a double.
Joslyn Schultz picked up the 7-inning win in the circle for Central Mountain.
Central Mountain is set up for a clash with Jersey Shore (7-2) on Saturday.
