LHU Baseball falls to Bloomsburg

LOCK HAVEN– The Lock Haven baseball team fell to Bloomsburg 9-4 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East vs. West non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon at Watkins Field.

With the result Lock Haven moves to 15-25 overall, while Bloomsburg improves to 16-24 on the season.

Lock Haven outhit the Huskies, 11-10, but Bloomsburg drew a game-high 13 walks and took advantage of three Bald Eagle errors to plate nine runs.

The Bald Eagles scored three runs over the fifth and sixth innings, but the Huskies plated runs in six different frames en route to victory.

The Bald Eagles sent eight pitchers to the mound and received scoreless innings from Brady Myers, Nick Negola and Jace Szaflaski. Evan Schmelz, Levi Schlesinger and Curtier Mason each struck out two hitters.

At the plate, five different Bald Eagles finished with multiple hits as Morgan Billotte, Ethan Nagy, Bryce Vincent Robert Furino and Joseph DeSiena all recorded two base knocks.

Furino and DeSiena notched doubles, while Furino Billotte and Stephen McMillan all drove in runs.

Next up for The Haven:

The Bald Eagles remain home and will host Gannon for a 1 p.m. PSAC West twinbill at Watkins Field on Friday (April 25).
