Wildcats Stay Unbeaten With 6-2 Win Over Jersey Shore

JERSEY SHORE – Coming off another solid win on Wednesday, Central Mountain stayed hot Thursday night with a 6-2 victory over downriver rival Jersey Shore in a makeup game on the road.

The Wildcats used a steady offensive push, scoring in five straight innings from the second through the sixth, and leaned on a dominant pitching performance to remain undefeated.

Brady Lavelle took the mound and delivered five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out 10 and walking three. Dane Hanna pitched the final two frames in relief, giving up two hits and two runs while striking out two and walking two.

Malaky Moyd led the Wildcats at the plate with two hits, including a two run home run. Isaiah Maldonado added a hit and an RBI, while Nate Wian and Jase Seltzer each chipped in with a base hit.

Jersey Shore managed three hits in the loss—one each from Enders, Berguson, and Pauling. Bulldog pitcher Rhea went six innings, allowing four hits and five runs (all unearned), walking two and striking out two. The Bulldogs committed two errors in the field.

Central Mountain (9-0) will return to action Monday with a road trip to Selinsgrove for a key conference matchup.
