No. 2 East Lock Haven vs. No. 3 East Bloomsburg

The Bald Eagles (19-8 overall) are PSAC East Champions for the second straight season. By virtue of the regular-season tiebreaker with Kutztown, Lock Haven is the No. 2 seed in the PSAC Women’s Basketball Postseason Tournament and will host the No. 3 seed Bloomsburg on Wednesday night.

Bloomsburg secured the East’s No. 3 seed in the tournament after finishing the regular season 17-11 overall and 11-10 in the PSAC. Bloomsburg earned a trip to the quarterfinals after downing No. 6 East Stroudsburg 60-57 at home on Monday night.

Lock Haven and Bloomsburg split the season series as each school earned wins as the visiting team. The Bald Eagles defeated the Huskies 66-47 on Jan. 29 before Bloomsburg won 65-51 on Feb. 26 in Thomas Fieldhouse.

Defense told the story in both contests, as Lock Haven’s victory came after holding Bloomsburg to 37 percent from the field and forcing 15 turnovers, while the Huskies held Lock Haven to 31 percent shooting and forced 22 turnovers to win on the road.

Jenadia Jordan scored 16 and 11 points to lead the Bald Eagles in scoring during both games against Bloomsburg, while Alana Robinson led the defense with a combined seven steals.

The Huskies hold a 25-11 advantage in the all-time series vs. Lock Haven, however, the Bald Eagles have won three of the previous four matchups.

Dating back to 2018, the Bald Eagles have reached the postseason for six straight seasons and have now won 19 or more games for the second straight year.

The Haven won the PSAC East in 2024 with a program-record 28 victories and finished as the runner up in the conference tournament.

PSAC All-Conference awards will be release on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
