Central Mountain Girls Fall on Senior Night to DuBois Central Catholic
MILL HALL – The Central Mountain girls basketball team honored seniors Lena Walker, Macy Plowman, Taylor Doyle, Ava Doyle, and Jacey Tripp on Senior Night but came up short against a strong DuBois Central Catholic squad, falling 60-40.
The Lady Wildcats battled throughout the contest but were unable to overcome an early deficit. DuBois Central Catholic jumped out to an 18-6 lead in the first quarter and maintained control for the remainder of the game.
Lena Walker led Central Mountain with 17 points, while Camdyn Weaver added 9. Taylor Doyle contributed 8, Jacey Tripp and Ava Doyle each scored 2, and Elise McKean finished with 2.
With the loss, Central Mountain moves to 8-10 on the season, while DuBois Central Catholic improves to 19-2. The Lady Wildcats will look to bounce back when they travel to Williamsport on Tuesday.
