Hoy Hits 1,000 Career Points on Senior Night as Central Mountain Defeats Nativity BVM
MILL HALL – Central Mountain celebrated Senior Night in style, honoring seniors Hunter Hoy, Max Verrelli, Caleb Mahoney, Jeremy Reese and manager Jaslyn Anderson before securing a 72-81 victory over Nativity BVM.
Hoy put on a stellar performance, dropping 27 points and reaching the 1,000-point milestone in his high school career. He led the Wildcats’ offense alongside Verrelli, who contributed 17 points.
The game remained competitive throughout, with quarter scores reflecting a hard-fought battle: Central Mountain led 27-21 after the first quarter, held a slim 43-38 advantage at halftime, and entered the final quarter tied at 57 before sealing the win with a strong finish.
Other key contributors for Central Mountain included Mahoney and Reese with 8 points each, Blake Walker with 8, Darius Shade with 10, Isah Dorman with 4, and Noah Wells with 2.
With the win, the Wildcats improve to 9-12 on the season, while Nativity BVM falls to 14-8. Central Mountain will look to carry this momentum into their next game when they host Williamsport on Tuesday.
