USTFCCCA: LHU Women’s Cross Country earns three individual All-Academic honors; Bald Eagles receive team award

NEW ORLEANS – Three members of the Lock Haven women’s cross country team earned 2024 NCAA Division II U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Individual All-Academic honors and the Bald Eagles earned the team award, the organization announced on Thursday (Jan. 30).

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

As a team, The Haven women earned 2024 USTFCCA Team All-Academic Honors with a team cumulative GPA of 3.514.

Kaydence Strange earned a perfect 4.00 GPA, while studying to become a Pre-Physician Assistant. Strange placed 43rd (22:23.9) at the Atlantic Region Championships.

Aubrey Sechrist secured a 3.44 GPA (Health & Physical Education) and placed 34th at the Region Championships with a run of 22:15.6.

Nicole Carroll earned a 3.64 GPA (Pre-Physician Assistant) and ran a 25:53.9 at the Region Championships, placing 70th.
