Central Mountain Girls Basketball Picks up Win at Danville

DANVILLE-Central Mountain hit the road on Wednesday night to open the second half of PHAC play against Danville.

Danville would take the opening quarter 19-15 but CM would win each of the remaining three quarters to secure the win over a vastly improved Danville squad, 53-42.

The Lady Cats were led in scoring by seniors Lena Walker and Taylor Doyle with 16 a piece while sophomore Camdyn Weaver was close behind with 14.  Central Mountain was plagued throughout the contest by turnovers but used aggressive full-court pressure of their own to force Danville into a high number of turnovers to help offset the Wildcat struggles.  With the win, the Wildcats improved to 7-6 on the season and will now prepare for round two with Jersey Shore in Mill Hall on Saturday night.  Central Mountain dropped the JV contest to Danville despite getting 19 points from Freshmen Aubrey Miller.
