LHU Head Football Coach Dan Mulrooney announces resignation
LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven head football coach Dan Mulrooney has announced his resignation from The Haven.
Mulrooney, who was the head coach at Lock Haven over the past three seasons (2022-24), has accepted the position of defensive coordinator at Brown University.
Mulrooney helped lead the Bald Eagles to their best two-year stretch in over 40 years, posting 10 wins between the 2023 and 2024 seasons, with the five victories in each year – marking the most in a season for the program since 1982.
Mulrooney guided nine players to All-Conference honors and had two athletes earn Harlon Hill Trophy nominations, including running back Chris Collier and quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky. In 2024, Collier saw action in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders.
A national search for Lock Haven’s next head football coach is forthcoming.
