Central Mountain Wrestlers Advance in Championship Battles

INDIANA UNIVERSITY PA: The Mid-Winter Mayhem tournament is in full swing and after the first two championship rounds and two consolation rounds of the 53-team event are completed, District Class AA power Bishop McCort is out front with 93 points, while Central Mountain is in second with 63 and North Allegheny third with 62 points. The tournament continues today and also on Saturday.
Six Central Mountain wrestlers have advanced into the Championship round of 16, as Gavin Heverly (114), Aiden Kunes (127), Patrick Tarantella (133), second seeded Dalton Perry (145), Bryce Brungard (189) and Kai Fravel (215) are all looking to advance in the championship quarterfinals this afternoon. The rest of the Central Mountain squad are working their way through the consolations at this point.
