Bald Eagle Supervisors Meet for December
By Christopher Miller
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Bald Eagle Township Supervisors met Monday night for their regular supervisors meeting.
Aside from the vote to donate $20,000 toward the Mill Hall Pool Fund, the meeting was very much “business as usual.”
Brandon Coleman of Mill Hall Borough Police gave his inaugural report to the supervisors regarding the newly-signed police coverage for high-traffic and problem areas within the township.
“In November we had 26 stops, mostly around Homestead Estates, Bald Eagle Mountain Road, and KCSD Drive,” Coleman said. “We have also identified locations to park at the end of roads and lanes around the township. So far we have had a “good vibe” from the community with our presence there.”
There was no update on the Wawa of Take 5 projects aside from the work being done for the new Take 5 oil and lube facility adjacent to Sheetz along Hogan Boulevard.
The 2025 budget was adopted with no tax increase.
“We are in good shape, it all looks very good, we are truly blessed and frugal to have a very good business tax coming in, the mercantile tax, and the strip of shops out there serves us well, we are very fortunate,” Chairman Steve Tasselli praised.
A grant from the Clinton County Conservation District was awarded to the township for around $25,700 for pipe replacement. Supervisors voted to put the project out for bid.
To conclude, the township building recently upgraded its old Mitsubishi HVAC units to brand new ones. The old mini split systems will be placed on Municibid for sale in the coming days.
The annual Reorganizational Meeting will take place on Monday, January 6 at 8:30 a.m.
