LHU Swimming competes on day two of the Wooster Invite

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Lock Haven swim team kicked off its week in Wooster, Ohio by competing on day two at the Wooster Invite on Friday, Dec. 6.

The Wooster Invite is a three-day event hosted inside the Chris Matthew Aquatic Center at Wooster High School.

The Bald Eagles finished the second day with 284 points through 24 events.

Holly Cleworth had another banner day and took home bronze in the 200-yard freestyle with a blazing time of 1:56.52. Nora Craig (2:04.92) and Madison Bortner (2:07.04) also made the finals, finishing 17th and 23rd, respectively.

Sydney Houck added a top-10 finish in the 100-yard breastroke with a finals swim of 1:10.25. Alexis Fraundorfer placed 20th with a time of 1:15.18.

Mackenzie Eades reached the final in the 400-yard Individual medley and finished 20th with a time of 5:20.70.

Three Bald Eagles reached the final in the 100-yard butterfly and were led by Emma Pequignot, who placed 11th with a time of 1:02.74. Alaina Cane finished 17th (1:04.26) and Maria Painter placed 20th (1:07.20).

Finley Musser placed in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing 21st with a time of 1:07.65.

NEXT UP

The Bald Eagles return to Wooster’s Ellen Shapiro Natatorium tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 7) at 10 a.m. to compete on day three of the Wooster Invite.
