No. 15 LHU Women’s Wrestling falls to No. 14 Elmira
Elmira, N.Y. – The No. 15 Lock Haven women’s wrestling team was edged out by No. 14 Elmira on the road, 25-22.
Summer Batts and Lily Sherer both recorded victories by tech fall.
Batts took charge at the opening whistle and needed just 39 seconds to earn the tech over Joyce Rodriguez at 103.
At 131, Sherer downed Gabby Bradigan by way of a tech fall, 10-0, in two minutes.
Jayleah Pletz (117) earned a victory by fall over Yenyia Terry in 2:36.
At 207, No. 4 Alyssa Favara won by injury default.
Avry Ryhal grinded out a 20-16 decision victory over Emily Sindoni at 160. Ryhal found herself down 8-6 after the first period but scored 14 points in the final period for the hard-fought victory.
Lock Haven moves to 5-2 while Elmira moves to 4-0.
