LHU Men’s Cross Country hosts Lock Haven Invitational
LOCK HAVEN– The regionally-ranked Lock Haven men’s cross country team hosted the annual Lock Haven Invitational today (Sept. 28) on Homecoming Saturday, and in traditional fashion, the meet drew a large and talented field of runners.
The Haven men finished ninth of 26 teams in the Crimson 8K Race. Jakob Rager led the way with a time of 25:32.7 as he placed 27th of 229 finishers.
Gavin Furey, Kristian Mizdail, Chris Hine and Colby Petrizzo rounded out Lock Haven’s top-five finishers in the Crimson Race. Furey ran 26:03.5 (53rd), while Mizdail ran 26:23.3 (78th). Hine cracked the top-100 with a time of 26:24.4 (79th) and Petrizzo ran 26:54.8 (104th).
Lock Haven finished sixth of 18 teams in the White 8K Race with Anden Atkins leading the way (27:39.5). Atkins was 26th of 187 finishers. Colin Simander (27:52.6; 31st) and Jarrett Lee (27:54.5; 33rd) rounded out the Bald Eagles’ top-three finishers in White 8K Race.
