Wildcats Shine at Foundation XC Invitational, Keohane Leads with Personal Best
HERSHEY-The Central Mountain girls cross country team turned in a solid performance at the 18th Foundation XC Invitational held at Hershey, competing against a deep field of more than 245 runners in the AAA varsity race.
Leading the Wildcats was Junior Grace Keohane, who finished 42nd overall with a course personal best time of 21:05. Keohane’s strong finish set the tone for the Wildcats, with three other runners also achieving personal bests on the challenging Hershey course. Gabriella Hosley crossed the line in 22:41, while Aubrey Eiler and Emma Wolfe posted times of 24:09 and 24:25, respectively.
In the JV race, Adrian Samaniego (30:42) and Kennedy Metzger (33:46) both ran personal bests for the course, adding to the team’s impressive day.
The Wildcats now turn their focus to Tuesday’s home meet, where they will host Shamokin, Bloomsburg, Montoursville, and West Branch. The meet will also be a special one for Central Mountain, as it marks Senior Night, honoring the team’s graduating athletes.
