Central Mountain Marching Band Brings “The Hills Are Alive” to the Field This Season
MILL HALL-The Central Mountain Marching Band is set to impress this season with 34 talented students taking the field. Under the steady leadership of the band director, the program remains consistent, with no significant changes this year. The focus is on delivering a memorable show that features the beloved music of “The Sound of Music.”
This year’s theme, “The Hills Are Alive,” will bring the classic movie-musical to life with performances of “The Sound of Music,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” and “So Long, Farewell,” among other selections. Audiences can expect a performance that blends tradition with musical excellence.
The band will perform at all Central Mountain Varsity Football home games and will also travel to Selinsgrove and Montoursville for away games. Beyond the football field, the band has a busy schedule, including competitions in Wellsboro and Tussey Mountain this fall. They will also participate in a competitive parade in the Hershey area next May.
Locally, the band will be a familiar sight, marching in parades for Homecoming, Halloween, Haven Holidays, the Flaming Foliage Festival, and Memorial Day. With a packed schedule and a classic theme, the Central Mountain Marching Band promises to deliver a season full of musical highlights.
