Sugar Valley Golf Team Shows Grit
MILL HALL—The Sugar Valley Rural Charter School golf team took to the greens on Thursday, facing off against Bald Eagle Area and Sullivan County in a challenging match at Belles Springs Golf Course. Despite tough competition, Sugar Valley put forth a strong effort, finishing second with a team score of 468, just behind Bald Eagle Area, who took the top spot with a score of 367. Sullivan County rounded out the competition with 484.
Leading the way for Sugar Valley was Landon Pletcher, who posted the team’s best score of 106. Bryer Martin followed closely with a score of 114, contributing to the team’s solid overall performance. Although Bald Eagle Area’s Kane Wolf claimed the day’s best individual score with an impressive 81.
Sugar Valley’s next challenge will be the Mid Penn Conference Tournament at White Deer Golf Course on Tuesday, August 20th. The team will look to build on their recent performance as they continue to compete against some of the area’s top golf talent.
