East Keating/Noyes Township merger meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 23 at Renovo Fire Department

SOUTH RENOVO – A meeting to discuss the possible merger and its impacts of East Keating Township and Noyes Township has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 23 at 7 PM at the Renovo Fire Department, 230 11th Street, Renovo.

Representatives of DCED will be present, along with township supervisors, a PennDOT representative, and the township solicitor to discuss the merger that will be up for a vote in November.

“We will be explaining what the merger is, what will be gained and lost, a discussion of changes to taxes, and anything else needed to know to vote on the merger in November,” said township secretary/treasurer Tracy Shady.

The question regarding the merger will appear on the November ballot for all residents of Noyes and East Keating Townships.
