Keystone Majors fall 4-2 to Tri-Town in District 12 Championship

By Bees O’Brien

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT- Keystone majors had a tough uphill battle that began Monday evening in South Williamsport. Tri-Town was the opposition and Keystone would need to defeat the undefeated squad twice to claim the District 12 title.

Keystone would hold Tri-Town to just one hit, but 3 fielding errors would be too much to overcome.

Tri-Town opened the game by scoring all four of the runs in the top of the first inning. Keystone would battle back in the bottom of the first inning behind the offense of Ehan Nestor.

Lincoln Prough would be hit by a pitch and Austin Dupert would draw a walk. Prough would score on the Nestor first-inning hit and Dupert would score in the inning, as well.

That would be the final runs of the game. Both teams’ pitchers would silence the bats and Tri-Town would eventually claim the District 12 tittle.

Nestor led Keystone with two hits, one of which was a double. His hits would be the only ones for Keystone for the entire game.
