LHU’s Nick Manning Receives CU-Lock Haven President’s Volunteer Service Award

The 2023-24 recipient of the Commonwealth University-Lock Haven President’s Volunteer Service Award was Nick Manning, a chemistry major from South Williamsport.

Manning received the Gold Honor for completing 286 hours of service for his work as a volunteer firefighter in Williamsport and his service work on campus.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents through presidential recognition to live a life of service. Those who meet the program’s criteria can receive Presidential recognition for volunteer hours served. Students who earn 100 or more hours of community service in one year while a student at CU-Lock Haven are eligible for the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
