Obituary – Dawn R. Holmes
Dawn R. Holmes, 74 of Linden, Pa, passed away on May, 17th 2024 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Dawn was born in Williamsport to the late Malcolm N. and Betty J. (Troutman) Lunger on February 13th, 1950. She was a 1968 graduate of Bucktail High School then going on to work at Wundies Inc. in various departments. She served as an EMT for the Woodward Township Volunteer Fire Department for several years. In recent years, she rescued and found homes for many feral cats, in her community. She was a member of the Pine St. United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
On April 21, 1969 she married James D. Holmes Jr. who preceded her in death on February 22, 2004.
Dawn is survived by her daughter, Heather Snyder, Carlisle Pa; companion, Alva Brungard, Linden, Pa.
A graveside service will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park on June 14, 2024, with Pastor James Wooster officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
