Wildcats Dominate Selinsgrove with 17-1 Victory
SELINSGROVE-The Wildcats came out swinging and scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back. Cirstyn Watson started off the inning with a walk and scored on Harley Kunes RBI ringle. Consecutive walks to Madison Hardy and Harley Kunes put two runners on and they were both driven home on a Cora Myers double to left center field.
Selinsgrove answered with an unearned run in the bottom of the first and it would be all the runs they would score in the game.
Central Mountain went on to score a run in the second, 7 runs in the third and 5 runs in the tope of the fourth to bring the score to 17-1. Selinsgrove was unable to score in the bpttom of the fourth and the game ended due to the run rule.
At the plate Harley Kunes was 3-3 and Cora Myers was 3-4 to lead the Cats while Cirstyn Watson, Madisyn Wian, Madison Hardy, Katelyn Bowman, Sophie Mitchell and Taylor Doyle each added a hit. Every batter in the starting line up scored at least one run in the game for the Wildcats.
In the circle, Addie McKeague pitched the complete 4 inning game allowing only 1 unearned run 1 hit while striking out 7 batters.
Central Mountain will face off against Jersey Shore on Saturday in an away game scheduled for a 10AM start in Jersey Shore.
