LHU Women’s Track & Field competes at Bloomsburg Midweek Meet

BLOOMSBURG– Thrower Mallory Eck (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) won the discus throw as she turned in one of several top-three performances today (Wednesday, March 27) to lead the way for the Lock Haven women’s track and field team at the Bloomsburg Midweek Meet.

Eck won the discus with a throw of 115-06 and Julia Beck (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) was third with a mark of 106-10.

Clarissa Davis (York, Pa./Central York) was second in the shot put with a throw of 37-05.75.

Aubrey Sechrist (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) finished second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:58.54.

Hunter Barger (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) also turned in a second-place finish as she placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.73, which narrowly missed the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship qualifying standard.

Liberty Gearinger (Berwick, Pa./Central Columbia) finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.78.

The Haven will be right back in action tomorrow (Thursday, March 28) at 2:30 p.m. when Bald Eagles host the Lock Haven Midweek Meet.
