Central Mountain Swimming Teams Fall to Williamsport
LOCK HAVEN-The Central Mountain Boys & Girls swim teams dropped their last meet of the season to a very strong Williamsport team. The boys fell 93 – 47 and the girls lost 107-62. On the boys side, Williamsport won all 11 events on the night. Top performers for the Wildcats were Rhys Swift who finished 2nd in the 200 IM and 500 Free and Jonathan Hughes finished second in the 100 Back. Swift’s 200 IM time of 2:23.75 was a PR and District qualifying time. On the girls side, the Wildcats picked up wins in the 5 of 6 events on the evening. The 200 Medley Relay team of Abrianna Hosley, Gabriella Hosley, Camryn Bair, and Ana Persun started the night off right with a win in 2:03.30. Gabriella Hosley picked up 2 wins for the Cats winning the 200 IM and 100 Fly. Camryn Bair lead picked up the victory in the 100 Free and Maia Crowell picked up the win in the 100 Breaststroke. Lily McWilliams had a great swim in the 100 FLY swimming a District qualifying time of 1:11.85. The boys finished the season the season 9-3 and the girls were 10-2. Thirteen Wildcats will represent Central Mountain at the District 6 Championships held at Penn State’s McCoy Natatorium on February 23-24. They are Camryn Bair, Ana Persun, Abrianna Hosley, Gabriella Hosley, Maia Crowell, Lily McWilliams, Jonathan Hughes, Neil Kaluzny, Rhys Swift, Cory Matejovich, Bryce Warren, Raiden Newcomer, and Owen Wunder.
