Obituary – Diane McHenry Nichols
Diane McHenry Nichols, 72, went to be with her best friend, Jesus, on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Born in Lock Haven on October 24, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Bessie Peter McHenry, Jr.
She was married to the love of her life, Stephen N. Nichols, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2017.
Diane worked at M&T Bank for 37 years with various positions and retired early due to illness. She loved working with people and pulling pranks on her co-workers.
She was a member of the McElhattan United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Toni) Mann of McElhattan; her very special grandchildren: Dennis, Devin and Derek Gentzyel of Mill Hall and Kaylin Mann of McElhattan; her siblings: John (Linda) McHenry of McElhattan and Jeff (Darcy) McHenry of Avis, Tammie (Rusty) Weaver of Lock Haven and Terrie (Chris) Moore of Lamar; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracie J. Gentzyel; and a sister, Susan J. Johnson.
In lieu of a funeral service, Diane’s wish was for everyone to remember her the way they knew her and to simply be kind to someone.
