Downtown Rotary sends sweet Valentines to first-responders

LOCK HAVEN — The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven thanked local first-responders this week with sweet treats for Valentine’s Day.

Rotarians made cookies and donated candies to the project, then met to make up plates and bags overflowing with love from the kitchen for our rescue heroes. The plates even included salty snacks and beef jerky.

All were delivered with smiles and warm wishes to: Citizens Hose Co. and Eastside Fire Co. in Lock Haven, City Police, Lock Haven EMS, Goodwill Hose Co. and Goodwill Ambulance Association in Flemington, Dunnstown Fire Co., and the Clinton County Communications Center.

Downtown Rotary plans to make this an annual project to thank first-responders, who are “at the heart of our community”.

Wendi Spicher, left, office manager and administrative secretary at city hall, receives Valentine’s treats for the city police department from Megan Wheeler, representing the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven.
