Phoenix Fall to Juniata Valley

LOGANTON- The Sugar Valley Charter School wrestling squad saw their record fall to 10-16 on the season, as the Hornets of Juniata Valley handed the Phoenix a 33-18 defeat in the Sugar Valley gym.
The Phoenix were only able to win two of the seven bouts contested, as Wyatt Conoway (145) and Levin Galentine (285) won by falls and Cameron Quick (152) was awarded a forfeit. There were four weights that neither team had a wrestler and thus four double forfeits were recorded, but they did not affect the team scores.
The Phoenix (10-16) are scheduled to close out their dual meet season when they travel to the Northern Tier and battle the Green Hornets of Wellsboro on Wednesday evening. Wellsboro (6-15) has a win over the Phoenix this season, as they defeated the Phoenix 36-18 back in Mid-December at the Hughesville Duals Tournament.
